When the idea of making website came to mind, I went to my computer and start searching about domain names, I was shocked then.

I discovered that I should buy a domain  name and host it for monthly charges, I was really shocked not because they are expensive, buy because I don't have a visa or master card and also because I'm a beginner in this business and I don't want to invest till I see real results in front of me, this is the way I was thinking, and I'm sure that you are thinking like me.

So after the shock I start to search again I found that there are websites like blogger and WordPress are offering free blogs, I start a simple blog just to try what is this and how it is working, when I start using it I found that this is not just a free blog that have limitations, no it's a very huge service that let you make a real and well designed blog.

Every day I was discovering more and more options, there is nothing you can't do with blogger the only difference between blogger and a paid domain that blogger gives you blogspot.com not .com and of course the Cpanel.

Now, how are you going to start?

First of all keep in mind that there are some basics that your blog should follow.

 You need a contact us form with your contact information because adding your information or Biography gives you too advantages search preference and visitors trust and you need them both.

You need to make archive in your sidebar or most viewed posts to attract people to read another posts instead of leaving your blog, this will increase the probability for this visitor to click on your Ads.

Link Your Pages: Make pages that collect some posts that talk about the same thing, for example if you have some posts that are talking about football, and others talking about basket ball, make two pages one called football and the other called basketball and link the posts with the pages.

Link Your Posts: Your posts need to be linked with each other, for example, if you are writing post about playing video games, mention some games in your article, and link them to specified post for each game, like, blalabla was released on…. And blablabla was released in…

Make A Search Bar: it's recommended to make two search bars, Google search and blog search.

To add this search bar go to your blogger layout, add gadget, then add.

These are the six basics that you should start your Blog with, but actually these are not the main points that I want to reach, my goal is the options that you can add to your blog the real options that can make your blog like any other blog in the internet either if it's paid blog or free blog.

Creating Twitter, FaceBook, and Google Plus plugins: to share and tweet your posts.

These social media icons will increase your traffic the way you never imagined, how are you going to add them?

To Add a follow button for Twitter, open your account, got to this link from your twitter account https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons#follow, choose the button frame and copy the HTML in the place that you want the button to appear in.

Facebook Like button  also adding a like button will increase your traffic, you already have a share button that appears under each post in your blog so you only need a like button.

Google Plus Plugin  is the important and the easiest to add one because it plays a part in the SEO part that will be discussed specifically in other chapter.

Go to your blogger layout, choose google + followers and add it to your sidebar.

Now we are done with the social media part we want to proceed to another part, do you know that you can add forum and chat room in your simple and meaningful blog? How to start a simple forum to your simple blog?
