a YouTube partner? is it hard or easy?

honestly it was hard in the past few years but now, in 2013, 

YouTube had made a lot of things to make it better and easier than 

it was, in the past you were supposed  to make a channel and make 

a large number of views and also the channel had to be an old 

channel, it's the same now but you don't have to wait 6 months or a 

year to get approved as soon as your channel is active and you start 

making views you can send YouTube an E-mail and they will 

approve your channel and if you wait for them they won't take too 

much time, all what you have to do is setting up your channel and 

in two or three weeks you are approved and you can start making 

money, but here is some things that you should avoid in order not to 

get banned or disapproved, first it is not eligible to use any content 

that had a copyrights, even if it's a background song you are not 

supposed to do this unless you have a licence from the owner of 

this content, you may be disproved for monetizing your videos for 

this issue, another thing you should take care of 

the community guidelines wish means if your video contains any 

age restricted content you should inform YouTube by clicking on 

age restricted when you are uploading your video, this also may 

disprove your channel if you didn't mention, that's it, if everything 

is okay and your account doesn't have anything of either copyrights
